Professionalism Cloud Mortuary Service is more than a removal vehicle and a stretcher. We are a family-owned business with a licensed funeral director and embalmer for both Georgia and Alabama heading our company. Mike Cloud, MBIE, is a 1996 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science. His attention to detail and personal discipline can be attributed to his military career in the 7th Special Forces, the 82nd Airborne Division, and as a Senior Drill Sergeant.
Embalming: Mike served his apprenticeship at Platt's Funeral Home in Augusta; Georgia's oldest funeral home in continuous operation. He also served as a licensed embalmer and funeral director at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan. He has been licensed since 1998. As a trade embalmer serving many locations, he has to meet the various expectations of each of the funeral homes he supports. Also, it has given him a wide exposure to the various fluids used throughout the field. Each of these situations provide a wealth of experience and expertise to draw upon. He is a member and sponsor of Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia. He is also a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and the Georgia Funeral Director's Association.
Transportation:We have logged over 330 thousand miles without any traffic violations oraccidents. We have a safe driver incentive program to encourage responsible and defensive driving.
Graveside Services: This service allows funeral homes to keep their staff and vehicles available while ensuring the committal service is handled professionally. Cloud Mortuary's fee is fractional to that of a traditional funeral home.
